Great Harvest and Saturday Runs

Saturday mornings are long run mornings. Long runs are planned during the week often during another run. Some are even looked forward to. Okay I admit, somtimes I look forward to the run being over (mid run of course). I'm not sure when my running buddies and I started dropping in on Great Harvest in Happy Holladay, but it's improved our long runs... Sometimes we will even go a little extra mileage so we can drop in.

As you are probably know, Great Harvest is great at making bread, scones and cookies. They are even better at giving samples. Adding a little something in the middle of a run for a boost has proven to be performance enhancing. I used to feel weird about walking in to get a sample without buying anything. I'm so over it. We are all good customers of this joint and in turn they are good to us with samples. But, now the secret is out.

At Primary this week the Sunbeam teacher said she saw me there and now she knows why I run. So busted. I have also often wondered if there is any recognition of us when we stop by looking like "regular" customers...

Great Harvest Favorites: (listed in no particular order)

Cinnaburst Bread (toasted with butter - Yum!) aka Dough Gob
Farmhouse Bread
Raspberry Cream Cheese Scone
Cinnamon Sugar Scone
Snickerdoodles
Cinnamon Rolls
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread
Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Lemon Bars

Pretty much, I like everything and suggest you drop by for a tasty treat.
